Varieties of bread from the Balearic Islands

Specialties

Among the varieties of country bread they make, we can find the brown or ‘mulato’ bread made with a mixture of flours prepared by the baker.
Another of their specialities are ensaimadas, of which they offer a wide variety of plain and filled ensaimadas, such as angel hair, white and dark chocolate, cream, almond, apricot, among others.
They make traditional Mallorcan pastries, such as panades and rubiols. They also make formatjades, a unique product from Pollença that is made at Easter, and which cannot be found in other towns on the island.

Joan Payeras and his wife Margalida are the fourth generation of the same family to run the bakery.
