Coc de Ciutadella
Cocs are small bread rolls in the shape of a stick, made with flour, water, yeast and salt, or lard with the mentioned ingredients. They are coarser than llonguets, softer and chewier. In Ciutadella, individual loaves of bread dough are called cocs, while in the other towns on the island of Menorca they are called panets. It is the ideal bread for sandwiches in Menorca with bacon, meatballs, cuttlefish, meat with sauce, tongue with beans, cold meat, etc.
Coc has a long history and tradition and has been present in Catalan-speaking regions for more than five hundred years.
