Presentation of the new Pa d’aquí, forn i tradició website and the activities of Bread Week 2024, in the press room of the Enterprise, Employment and Energy Department
TUESDAY, 15th October at 11.00 a.m.
Tasting of brown bread and xeixa bread accompanied by local products such as sobrasada, oil, cheese, etc., in the Plaça de l’Olivar in Palma.
WEDNESDAY, 16th October at 11.00 a.m.
Master class ‘100% sourdough bakery in Palma’, by Gustavo Alem and Cate Stanton from UCO Bakery, in the auditorium of the Balearic Islands School of Hotel Management.
Cate Stanton and Gus Alem, the founding couple of this Concept Bakery, will explain how they got started in the world of baking and the new concept of their bakery-shop, specialising in natural fermentation and sourdough. Attendees will also be able to enjoy a small tasting of the products they make.
Aimed at students of bakery, patisserie and cookery, and professionals in the sector.

Tour of the emblematic bakeries and pastry shops of Llucmajor: Forn Can Vicens, Forn i Pastisseria Can Ramis and Forn Can Tofolet.
Led by Tomàs Vibot, writer, researcher and disseminator of culture and heritage.
A walk to discover the bakeries in Llucmajor that are members of Emblemàtics Balears and that have the Pa d’aquí brand. These establishments stand out both for their history and for the quality of the products they offer generation after generation.
