Nadal Lladó from Forn Can Nadal has run a Pa d’Aquí, forn i tradició (Bread from here, oven and tradition) workshop, organised by the Regional Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, for students at the CIFP Juníper Serra vocational training centre.
During the workshop, Lladó explained to the students each of the characteristics that have to be considered in order to learn to distinguish an ensaimada, one of the best known and most appreciated sweets of Mallorcan confectionery.
Also present was Antoni Contreras, a researcher into the history of Mallorcan cuisine. Contreras explained to the students all the aspects they have to consider to evaluate a good ensaimada.
The young people were able to participate and taste the product in order to identify all the components explained.
