Kids learn how to make pagés bread (peasants bread) with Forn de Can Paco

Pupils in Years 5 and 6 at CEIP Sa Graduada primary school in Sa Pobla took part in a workshop to learn how to make pa de pagès bread, the first of the activities of Bread Week 2025, an initiative of thePa d’Aquí brand, oven and tradition by  ADRBalears of the Regional Ministry of Business, Self-Employment and Energy and the Association of Bakers and Pastry Chefs of the Balearic Islands.

The workshop, led by baker Jose Luís Jaume from Forn de Can Paco, allowed the pupils to learn the process of making one of the typical bread types, payés bread, from mixing the ingredients to the kneading process. They also learned about the benefits of quality bread and the advantages of consuming healthy, locally sourced products.
